Quality Brass can pour castings from different size molds, and parts as small as 1/2” up to 2’ square in size. Castings can weigh anywhere from several ounces, up to 140 lbs.
- Two electric furnaces with 1,500 lbs of 319 aluminum alloy and 1,500 lbs of 535 aluminum manganese, melting 24 hours a day.
- Six smaller furnaces for our red metals, copper and brass alloys.
- Close relationship with local metallurgist to meet customer needs.
- In-house core capabilities, using shell core sand.
- In-house pattern making.
- Customer pattern storage.
- Castings from original or sample parts.
- Order quantities from 1 to many thousands.
- We can make suggestions for our customers in which alloy to use if their requirements change. Strength can be added and conductivity maintained by choosing the right alloy.
- Turn around time is 1 - 2 weeks after the pattern is in-house.
- Specialize in electrical parts made of copper or brass such as cable ends, contact pads, and other contact surfaces.
- Cast custom parts for auto, boats, and other low volume specialized needs of restorationists and hobbyists.
